Sound Sound Behavioral Hospital Celebrates World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is Thursday, October 10th. With this in mind, we at South Sound Behavioral Hospital want to discuss the need for mental health treatment in our local communities, and throughout the United States. As a new mental health facility, we want to present ourselves as an expert in mental health treatment, and an ally to anyone in need of our services in the future.
One of the most influential things you can do for someone is simply being there for them in their moment of need. This can easily be applied to our day-to-day lives as well, reach out to your loved ones, even a simple phone call or text message can have a huge impact on someone. It is impossible to know what someone is feeling or thinking, they might be experiencing dread, fear, anxiety, or struggling with any number of things. It’s reported by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) that 1 in 5 adults in the United States experienced some form of mental illness in 2018. Now is the time to be there for someone you care about, and if they need help from a mental health institution, South Sound Behavioral Hospital is here to take care of them.
